Why is my guinea pig's mouth and chin stained orange or yellow?

My guinea pig, long haired has come up with an orange/yellow tint around the right side of his mouth and now his chin, some people have said it could be the food he's eaten such as carrot but he hasn't had carrot for a while now due to it not being one of his favourites

Rocky could have a dental problem like malocclusion going on. This is a very serious issue and often your vet will need to used sedation and take skull or dental X-rays in order to determine how significant the problem is. Hopefully the stain is just a food stain, but I recommend a visit with a vet who deals with guinea pigs in order to find out for sure.
