My puppy has saggy, puffy eyes. Could it be allergies or a sting?

My 9 month old puppy's eyes were fine this morning and now they are saggy to where I can see the pink inside, usually I can't. They are also puffy around his eyes but more so on his left eye. His eyes aren't as wide open as they usually are and he seems to be extra sleepy today. It is possible that he got stung by a bee but unlikely. Could he have allergies? What all could cause him to have irritated eyes?

Coal could have an allergic reaction to a bug bite or bee sting if his face appears swollen. This often starts as a puffy area then can spread to the rest of the face. It is an emergency if he can't seem to breath properly or if his neck is beginning to swell. Most of the time the swelling resolves on its own after a few hours. If not, your veterinarian can give him antihistamine and steroid injections that bring the swelling down right away.
