Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | 7 years and 1 month old

My golden retriever is 7 years old. He hardly eats or drinks but when he does he drinks excessively, and now he has started to pee for a very long time and sometimes twice. We take him out multiple times a day. And he is a very well trained dog but recently he has started peeing in our house (2 huge spots each time) and he isn't acting like himself. He always winces like he's in pain and pants a lot more. He also has grown 3 large bumps on his side.(quarter size) I don't know what to do! help!

Blaiser sounds quite ill! There are a couple of things going on with him at the moment. This excessive drinking and urination could be caused by diabetes, kidney failure, Cushing's disease, a UTI, or bladder stones. The large bumps could be due to cysts, lipomas, abscesses, benign tumors, or malignant tumors. The panting more could be due to cardiac disease or metastasis from a malignant tumor. Blaiser has to see a vet as soon as possible, and today would be best. He needs a physical exam, blood tests, urinalysis, fine needle aspirate of the bumps, and chest x-rays. These tests will diagnose what is causing his symptoms, and the vet can discuss treatment options with you. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
