My Shih Tzu has hair loss between eyes. Allergies or mites? Vet?

12-year old Shih Tzu female with a horizontal line between her eyes and hair loss. Her groomer told me she has an allergy. I found online she may have mites. She has no other symptoms. Should I take her to her vet? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 11 lbs

Yes definitely take Chaya into the vet. The groomer is not trained or licensed to make medical diagnosis such as if a dog has allergies or not, and the only one who can determine what is causing this hair loss is a vet.
