Will my unspayed cat stop asking for a mate if I ignore her?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Scottish Fold | Female | 6 months and 17 days old

I have a quick question. I heard that when an unspayed cat matures and starts to want someone to mate with, if you ignore her actions and leave her alone she will eventually stop asking for a mate and continue her life normally, is this true or not?

No, this is not true. The female cat will always keep asking for a mate, and a cat in heat has very annoying behaviors. I recommend spaying Cutie now before she goes into heat if you don't plan on mating her.
