My dog bit me after I smacked her. Why is she acting aggressive?

I just got home and my dog started peeing, I did give her a smack a couple times on the nose and then she bit me, she bit me in the face. She's been acting more and more aggressive towards me after I moved states 2 months ago. I've always punished her the same way, the way I did earlier today, but just now she's bit me. Why would she do this? She has always been so attached to me, loving me because the previous home she was at didn't give her much attention, but now she seems different.
