Dog not eating, dry nose after car travel and bath. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 6 months old | 80 lbs

I took my 2yr 7months old female labrador to a short tour in which she had to travel for nearly 2 1/2 hrs by car. And now after returning home she is not eating properly and also her nose is very dry. After returning home this morning I gave her a bath. Is there any problem or is it just tiredness? I am very worried, this was her 1st trip.

She just may be stressed. The new trip, then a bath ..... Take away all food for 12 hrs and then offer her a mix of boiled white rice, some boiled white boneless chicken and her regular food and see whether she will eat. Take the food away after ten minutes, if she is not eating. Try this again a few hours later. If she still does not eat she needs to be seen by a veterinary doctor.
