My dog ate potatoes, threw up, but seems better. What should I do?

I think my 9 year old dog got into potatoes and they are him sick. He didn't eat for two days and yesterday he threw up very little and I couldn't tell what it was, but today he threw up a bunch of what looked like potatoes. I got him to eat about half an hour later. And he is drinking water. Should I do something? Or should I just wait a little longer?

If larry is not throwing up anymore and overall appears happy again, then I would start with feeding him small amounts of food over three or 4 feedings/day. Add some boiled white rice to his normal feed. If he does not vomit anymore, is lively and does not have diarrhea, then he is likely over a bout of food indiscretion and you need to do nothing more. If he gets diarrhea or keeps on vomiting, then I suggest you take him to your veterinarian for an exam.
