Dog crying, whining, chasing tail, and diarrhea. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 14 days old

PLEASE HELP ME. Right now my dog is walking all over the house crying and whinning. He also follows his tail a lot like something bothers him in his butt area. I have no idea what it could be. He's an inside dog, but most of the day he is kept outside in the backyard with recently changed water. He also looks pretty skinny but I've always thought I feed him enough. Today I think he got like diarrhea. What can I do right now to make him feel better so he can sleep? PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Considering your description he is either try to defecate something (whose passage may be painful) or he has a problem with his anal glands (severe inflammation or infection). It is possible as well that the pain is coming from the lumbosacral area. Unfortunately without checking him, it is not possible to give you more specific advice at his stage (unless you send us more descriptions or pictures of the area). Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation (where you can post pictures ) if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
