Why does my cat have wet sores and hair loss at the base of her tail?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

fixed, 18months, female. open wet lesions base of tail. missing hair. new ones every 4 days or so. 1/2" x 1". weight loss maybe

Brownie may have draining abscesses from bite wounds or other trauma. This is a common location for cats to bite one another. Try epsom salt/warm water compress on the lesions several times daily until you can get her to the vet for antibiotics and pain medication.
