Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 55 lbs

I feed my dog twice a day and give him a good 4 handful dry food per meal , he also is really bad at stealing lots of food around the house , however he always seems hungry and his very skinny I can see his ribs when he stand in certain positions. Worried that I'm not feeding him right. Thanks

Giving Blue handfuls of food may not be giving him enough food. I would read the daily requirements of food on his food bag label and divide it into two equal portions. Intestinal worms can cause a dog to be very hungry and skinny, so I would have him seen by a vet to check to see if he does have intestinal worms. The vet can give him a deworming treatment if he does.
