My diabetic dog is sleeping. Should I wake him for food and insulin?

Knut 8/9 year old neutered Samoyed ..Diagnosed diabetes since Sept last year insulin injection twice a day .Now blind . Today taken to vets with infected eye.. prescribed steroid drops .. given one quarter canine pain releif . He is due his dinner and insulin injection but fast asleep hasn't been settled all day but now he is.. if he doesn't want food should i still give insulin injection ...

I would wake Knut and have him eat his dinner. It's important that he eats so he can get his insulin injection, do not give it to him unless he eats. Wake him, have him eat, then give him his injection.
