Why won't my puppy eat after moving? How to restore her appetite?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 8 months and 16 days old | 35 lbs

We recently moved and my puppy has been going on strike ever since. It's been a week and she still doesnt have much of an appetite. she use to be highly food motivated but now it's a battle to get her to eat a full meal. How can I increase her appetite back to normal?

Hello. If Khloe is not eating, the first thing I would check is to make sure there isn't a medical reason for this vs. just sad from the move. I would recommend a vet visit for this. If they don't find anything, then I would just continue to give Khloe love, and lots of walks in her new location so she learns to have a positive feeling with the new location. If this is 'depression' for Khloe the increased activity and positive reinforcement should bring her out of it. Good luck!
