My dog has milk but no puppies. Is it painful? When will it stop?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 8 years and 3 months old | 30 lbs

There is a strày dog in my area who gave brth to puppies. They are around 3 months now. I was taking care of them by gvng food n all nut suddenly one day our welfare association called some people to take them away. Female dog is still here and producing milk but has no puppy to feed. I want to know is it any kind of threat or painful to it coz her breasts are full. Also when her milk production would stop?

Poor mama dog! Don't worry--her lactation will stop as soon as her hormones realize there is no more nursing going on. She will gradually stop lactating and her mammary glands will dry up in a few days. This is a normal process with weaning and no cause for concern.
