My cat has black crusty boogers in its nostrils. Is it serious?

Beans is starting to get crusty black boogers in his nostrils why is it black and what Is it?

Beans has some sort of nasal discharge, possibly blood, possibly dirt-encrusted. If he is not eating well, sneezing, or showing any other signs of illness I recommend a vet visit as he may need to be on antibiotics. He may as well have an infectious cat disease that could potentially be transmitted to other cats, so it is important to get him checked out.
