My puppy got hit by a car, is limping and resting. What's next?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 24 lbs

We recently moved out to the country and our puppy will not stop chasing cars. We live on a gravel road so they drive rarely slow but still. Just about 20 minutes ago a friend of ours was leaving the house and accidentally hit the dog going about 8mph. He ran off away from the car and is now resting. He is bending his legs fine but he is limping and just wants to rest. Any recommendations on what we should do for him??

He should be seen by a vet right away. Even though he is moving all of his extremities well, he may have internal injuries that need treatment. He could have a slow bleed, rupture of an organ, etc. Medical attention is very important.
