Why is there blood in my dog's pee? Is it from a swallowed needle?

Could blood in my dogs pee be from the possibility of swallowing a needle?

Hi there. So sorry to hear that Max is having this issue. No. Swallowing a needle would definitely NOT cause blood in the urine. If there is blood in the urine it is usually from one of the following: 1. prostate infection/cancer 2. bladder stones 3. bladder infection/cancer 4. kidney infection/stones There are other things it could be but those are the most common. He definitely needs to be seen by a vet as there is nothing you can do at home to treat any of those things. Please get him in to see a vet as soon as you can. I hope this was helpful. Best wishes.
