Dog gas: What are the symptoms & how do I treat it safely?

What symptoms does dog shows when he has gas just like human we do have gas eating beans cauliflower so what symptoms does dog shows on having gas and how to stop it cure it and onvet prescribed syrup that has ingredients aluminium hydroxide , magnesium hydroxide , sorbitol and dimethicone so is it safe and helps in preventing gas ? Please also mention the gas symptoms that dog shows and how long doesn't last can it also lead to bloat also ?

Hello. I am sorry Bruno isn't feeling well. Gas in dogs results in a sore painful belly, not wanting to eat, and low energy. Gas should resolve within a day, if the problem is continuing then Bruno should be seen by a vet. X-rays can show what is happening. If gas is reoccurring frequently then you can try changing the food. The mediaction you were given is ok for one or two uses however repeated uses of sorbitol can cause electrolyte changes. Discuss with your vet about options for Bruno. Good luck with him!
