Why is there a bubble on my puppy's neuter incision two days after?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | neutered | 6 months and 10 days old | 12 lbs

My puppy got neutered two days ago. This morning, we noticed that between two of the sutures, a round bubble of skin has popped up. It's about the size of a pencil eraser. Should we be concerned? He is otherwise back to his normal self, and we are actually having a hard time limit in his running, jumping, and climbing.

In most cases these will heal by themselves (rest is helpful!) but continue to monitor for any bleeding, pain or discharge/ps from the wound which would require further treatment. If he is licking the wound, an E collar is recommended to prevent further trauma and possible infection
