My pregnant dog is bleeding and losing fluid. Is it an emergency?

I have a 8 year old xolti ( hair less dog) 45# she has always been very healthy not spayed has appointment in a week .she is having large amounts of fluid and blood leek or gush out from her vulva no heavy odor no pain that she shows. She is possibly pregnant about 4-5 weeks along lost wate and starting to get dehydrated.I have Ben giving her clean cool water and Pedialyte what can be the cause so I am prepared for the vet in the morning

This is very concerning - she may be aborting a litter of puppes or may have an infection. I would recommend an urgent appointment and depending on the findings and an ultrasound scan an emergency spay operation may be recommended to prevent further blood loss. I recommend strict bed rest until you can arrange an emergency appointment

    Hello. From what you are describing I am worried that she may have a rupture in her uterus or a pyometra. These are both lofe threatening and you need to bring her to a vet NOW. Call around to find the local animal emergency hospital and get her in. Good luck with her! Do not give ANY mediacations at home, these can be very dangerous especially if her blood pressure is low from loss of blood.
