My puppy chewed a bleach bottle sprayer. What should I do if she's fine?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 7 months and 27 days old | 30 lbs

My 8 month old puppy got into a cabinet today and chewed the sprayer on a bleach bottle, didn't break the bottle just the sprayer, she's not acting any different and I'm not sure how long ago it occurred. What should I do?

Oh that was naughty of Nymeria! Given that she didn't break the bottle, then she will likely be ok. Bleach is an irritant, and you can check her mouth to see if there are any sores or redness in her mouth. Rinse her mouth out with cold water, but if you don't see any redness or sores in her mouth, she likely didn't ingest any bleach and she should be fine :-)
