My cat shakes her head when eating. What could be wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 7 months old | 14 lbs

My kitty when she leans her head down to eat she draws up and shakes her head. Other times she is fine.

It is possible that Tiger Lily's ears may be bothering her or she could have oral/jaw discomfort. I'm glad to hear that she seems to be fine other times, but her vet should examine her to check for the presence of an ear infection and oral changes.
