Is it normal for my dog to wake up and poop during the night?

Today a strange thing happen in he was active he ate all his meal but in the middle of night as I woke up sudden I found him awake I went to toilet he had done poop normal poop and was awake only for an hour I try to give him treat he refuse to eat but I went here and there he come back to me in running so it's normal or I think something is happening with him or I think it's just he break from his sleep ? What shall I understand ? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 4 months old

Hi! I'm not too sure why Bruno was up in the middle of the night, but sometimes they hear sounds that we don't, which wake them up. As long as he seems back to normal I wouldn't worry too much. If he is acting restless, pacing, or having any bloating in his belly though, he should be checked out as soon as possible by a vet! In the morning, offer him his food. If he is not eating, or acting strangely, it might be a good idea to have him checked out. Best of luck!
