Why is my dog making loud inhaling noises after a recent vet visit?

I took my dog to the vet yesterday for a regular check up.. Around 4 am I noted he was making a loud noise when inhaling deeply both asleep and awake. No other changes have noted. Appears fine otherwise. What could be the issue? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 90 lbs

It's really impossible to know what the noise was that Teddy made without seeing him. I would watch for any signs of upper respiratory disease like Bordetella ("kennel cough") that is a mild infectious disease dogs can acquire in any social situation where other dogs are present, like a vet clinic or boarding facility. If he starts coughing in the next few days this may be what is going on and I'd recommend a vet recheck as he may need antibiotics and cough suppressants. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry unless it continues.
