My puppy has fleas. Is it safe to give his new flea medicine early?

I think my puppy out grew his flea and tick medicine in the last 3 months, and now he has a few fleas, i have his new prescription which matches his weight which i should start in 6 days, is it possible to start it early or would that hurt him or could is cause any type of harm or discomfort at all? I just want his fleas to be gone. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 17 days old | 45 lbs
