Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | spayed | 6 years and 5 months old | 78 lbs

I have a 6 year old female doberman, she was spayed at the age of 6 months, today she as been constantly wasting in the garden half the time not hung comes out or just a dribble, this happened last year too and only lasted for the day, it's like she is leaving a scent, just curious if spayed dogs still get the erge. Hope you can advice me on this matter Thank you

Spayed female dogs do not typically mark areas with urine, nor do they typically seek out attention from male dogs. Since Lyra is dribbling urine frequently, she could have a urinary tract infection, crystals in her urine, bladder stones, etc. She should see her vet for an exam and urinalysis to determine if she has any current urinary tract issues.
