My cat hasn't pooped since switching to wet food. Is she constipated?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 12 lbs

I switched my cat to wet food from dry food over a week's period. Last week was my cat's first full week with wet food, but we didn't know which food would work best so there was a lot of trial and error and throwing away a lot of wet food. however, she hasn't had a bowel movement since Friday. What do I do? She's urinating fine, and her temperament hasn't changed but I'm worried.

I can certainly understand being concerned about Willow, as it's not normal that she hasn't had a bowel movement since Friday. I see you posted this question a day ago, and if she still hasn't had a bowel movement, I would take her into a vet right away. She may be suffering from constipation causing this, which the vet can diagnose and treat.
