Why would my dog need quarantine? Rabies, travel, or other reasons?

What reasons would a dog be placed into quarantine for? ( atleast 9)

The only reasonable reason a dog would be placed in quarantine in most countries is if he has bitten a human and he isn't vaccinated for rabies. in some countries, such as New Zealand for example, a month long quarantine is usually mandatory for every dog entering the country from somewhere else.
