Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 72 lbs
Hi so my dog was standing next to me and I ran my hand on his spine and I could feel his spine I was usually able to do this bu now I think this was there the whole time but I t feels like the spine near his neck is lower and then in the middle of his back is higher and then lower a little bit again. I think it was like that the whole time, he still jumps and plays normal so I'm huessing he's not in any pain. Please tell me if this is ok and If I should go to the vet? Thank You

The vertebrae in the spine of a normal dog are not in a perfectly horizontal row. The cervical (neck) vertebrae do drop down a bit, then get higher over the thoracic vertebrae (upper back), then drop a bit and level out over the level of the lumbar (lower back) vertebrae. Since Rocky seems comfortable and is otherwise acting normally, there isn't any reason to take him to the vet.
