hello. needing to get some flea med. for my dog and wanted to get the oral kind because her hair is really thick and cant use the kind you put on the skin. cant afford to pay vet visit and med. on fixed income. please help.

It is quite fortunate that there are oral flea preventatives available that make it easier to protect dogs with thick coats, like Babies. Flea preventatives that are oral include Nexgard, Bravecto and Comfortis, but all are prescription based medications and require an active veterinarian-client-patient relationship to be legally dispensed. I can certainly understand your financial concerns! If Babies has seen her vet in the past year, consider calling her vet to ask if one of these medications can be dispensed. Otherwise, consider looking into your SPCA or local shelters, because many offer low cost veterinary clinics.
