Are oranges ok for dogs

No, oranges are not considered safe for dogs. The citric acid can cause minor GI upset (vomiting and diarrhea) in small amounts, or even neurologic changes if fed in larger volumes. Dogs can eat oranges, but too much can lead to gastrointestinal upset, and they should only eat the fruit, not the skin/peel or rest of the plant, as the oils in the peel and plant can be toxic. A section or two as an occasional treat won't harm her. Too much citrus may cause diarrhea due to the high sugar content. Remove the seeds and don't feed any of the skin as it may cause stomach upset.
