I do not think his life is in danger until morning, these symptoms are not uncommon and are usually due to a gastrointestinal infection. try to keep him hydrated by giving him water, do not give him any food and take him to the vet first thing in the morning to get treatment.

It sounds as Blue is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Hello, sorry to hear about Blue. Vomiting may be caused by several things including abnormalities within the GI tract and abnormalities outside of the GI tract. Most commonly, especially during the holiday season we may see dogs get into foods they normally are not exposed to and develop dietary indiscretions. However, ruling out ingestion of foreign material that could be causing an obstruction is essential and this can be done with an abdominal x-ray at your veterinarian. Other causes such as pancreatitis, liver disease and kidney diseases can be ruled out with bloodwork. If he continues to vomit then I would recommend having Blue evaluated tonight or first thing in the morning. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hi and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am glad that Blue is acting normally but I am worried that he is vomiting and having diarrhea. I would fast him for the night (not offer him any food) and take him into your veterinarian for evaluation first thing in the morning. It is possible he has an upset stomach, a foreign object or something else. Your vet can evaluate the next best steps and determine the appropriate therapies for Blue. If you fast Blue and he vomits despite not having any food, I would take him to an emergency vet for immediate care. Good luck!

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would be happy to provide a consultation to gather more information about what is going on with Blue and give you some ideas about what may be causing it. However, if you believe that Blue is having a medical emergency (trouble breathing, unresponsive, uncontrollable vomiting, etc) then I recommend that he is seen by a vet immediately.
