My 12-year-old Whippet has a liver growth. Can she get better?

hello! I have a whippet she's about 12/13 years old, she's been going to the vets for the past 3 Saturdays as she was peeing more than she should have and not drinking any water. she was back Saturday past there got her bloods results back and she had a ultrasound done and she got a white growth on her liver. I am wanting to know if she will come through this? she's got injection amend ultramed for once a day. and vet said if not doesn't get better she will be put too sleep

I'm sorry your Whippet isn't doing well! If she has a growth on her liver, I would be very concerned that at her age, it could be cancerous. Primary liver cancer accounts for less than 1.5% of all tumors in dogs, so it's possible this growth is a metastasis from another tumor. Without knowing the exact cause of this growth, I unfortunately cannot say if she will come through this. A biopsy of the growth would be a good step to help identify what this growth is, and I would speak to your vet about doing it.
