Allergies in dogs typically present as skin irritation with itching, but some dogs also have intestinal inflammation as a result of food allergies, or respiratory changes, but the respiratory changes/sneezing are less common. If Bear has only been sneezing with clear nasal discharge, and his skin looks normal and he has not been itching, I would think allergies are less likely. Most dogs sneeze as a result of nasal irritation, infection, foreign bodies, etc. If Bear's nasal discharge is yellow or green, or he has not been eating, drinking or acting normally, he needs to be seen by his vet. Otherwise, monitor his sneezing for changes and take him to his vet if it gets worse.

If the sneezing fails to improve in 2-3 days or Bears develops nasal discharge or coughing, you should follow up with your veterinarian. A foreign object, upper respiratory infection-viral, nasal mites, fungal disease and/or allergies could be the cause.
