My 9 month golden lab was out in the field on our property and came in and one of his eyes is running and almost closed. He has been rubbing his face on the carpet. What should I do?

It sounds like Cooper may have foreign material in his eye or a scratch on his cornea. I'd recommend taking him to a veterinarian tonight so his eye can be stained to look for a scratch. A scratch on the eye can become infected quickly without medication, and if he is rubbing his face he could damage his eye further.
