How to give dog injections without making them anxious or scared?

Hello, I accidentally stung my finger with my dog syringe, again, it happened once before, he has nasal carcinoma, is it an issue? Was a very small needle for subcutaneous shots and In the syringe there was an omeopatic remedy, I washed with water and put alcohol .. Ps how to make injections avoiding my dog to get anxious? He suddenly moves his head every time.. Thank you.

It is difficult to say whether or not this is a concern for you without knowing exactly what is in the syringe - I'd recommend contacting the veterinarian who prescribed the medication and/or contacting your own physician. You can try spreading some canned food onto a plate and giving it to Dustin to distract him while you're giving the injection. It usually takes dogs awhile to lick food off of a plate. Between the shoulders is usually the easiest spot to give a subcutaneous injection.
