My Jack Russel gets a red rash all over her belly and then scratch herself on carpets,grass and even bare soil.Local vet said she is allergic to grass,but she gets it even when she was not on grass for the whole day.He gave her Prednisone tablets,which only helps for a short while.She also gained a lot of weight from the cortisone. Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 4 years and 3 months old | 30 lbs

Grass allergies are generally to the pollen so can occur even indoors if the windows are open. A blood test can help confirm the source of the allergies and it is likely she will need to go on additional antiallergy medications such as apoquel or atopica if the side effects of steroids are severe
