Pet's info: Dog | West Highland White Terrier | Female | spayed | 6 years and 2 months old
I have a 7yr Westie Bitch, she has always had a certain amou t of attitude, however over the last few months she has become aggressive. She snarls and shows her teeth more often. On two occasions recently she snapped at a friends legs as they got up to leave. I am the main owner although my 18yr old son and husband live with me. She seems very possissive and jealous,to be honest she is untrustworthy. Any suggestio s would be great. Im considering a westie rescue centre, she is unpredictable. Help.

I would first have her evaluated by a veterinarian to make sure she does not have an underlying medical condition. In some cases, pain can cause animals to behave unpredictably. If pain is ruled out, a disease in the brain may be the cause of her aggression. You may also consider contacting a veterinary behaviorist for advice.
