Why is my 1-year-old Mastiff suddenly blind in his right eye?

I have a 1yr old neopolatain mastiff who has all of a sudden gone blind in his right eye

Hello. Sudden blindness in one eye can be due to glaucoma (painful condition that is high pressure in the eye), uveitis (infection within the eye), retrobulbar abcess (infection behind the eye) or other causes. All of these are painful and can result in loss of the eye if not treated quickly. If he is truly blind in the eye I would have him seen right away by a vet.
