Why is my dog lethargic and not eating? What should I do to help?

My pug is two years old,she is suffering with loss of appetite,not having sufficient food,seems to be so dull for the whole day.please suggest

Hello. I am sorry to hear your pug isn't feeling well. If your dog is dull and lethargic, and not wanting to eat, it could be a sign of something stuck in her stomach or intestines, or a gastritis/pancreatitis. I would suggest having her seen by a veterinarian. Alternatively, you can cook her boneless, skinless, boiled chicken breast and some boiled rice. If she eats this and keeps it down, I would feed her small meals of this for a couple days, and see if she gets better. If she does then it was mild gastritis, but if she vomits or continues to be lethargic I would bring her to a vet right away.
