Why is my 3-month-old Pomeranian puppy throwing up and eating it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 4 lbs

I have a 3 month old Pomeranian puppy. Recently she has been throwing up. In the past 2 days I have seen her throw up about 4 to 5 times but it could be more since I don't know what happens while I'm asleep or not with her. She automatically eats her throw up so I don't get a chance to see what she is throwing up. I don't know if she ate something or what's happening. She is still eating and drinking, peeing and pooping. But I'm worried. What should I do?

Hello. I am sorry to hear that Skyler isn't feeling well. I would recommend having her checked out for worms (fecal sample), and also possible radiographs. Also, I would discuss with your vet about what food to feed Skyler. YOu want to get her on a good quality puppy food. It could be that you are feeding her something that isn't agreeing with her stomach. If she vomits up everything she eats than you need to get x-rays right away as she could have an obstruction, however I think this is unlikely based on what you are describing, especially if she is still bring and happy and pooping.
