Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 years and 2 months old | 10.6 lbs
Hello, my cat has progressively gotten lethargic and losing weight. His coat has also gotten oily with a spiky look to it. I brushed him and it got oilier as I brushed him. He just hasn't been himself latley. Additionaly, I have noticed he has started drinking out of the toilet. I give him fresh water every day but he has now almost petered the toilet bowl. Any thoughts?

Poor Little Man! His lethargy, weight loss and excessive drinking make me concerned about several possible conditions, including kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and diabetes, among others. At this point, he needs to be seen by his vet for an exam and lab testing (CBC, chemistry, T4 - thyroid) to evaluate his organ function. There isn't much that you can do at home without determining the underlying cause of Little Man's clinical signs.
