I found a tick on my leg. Where did it come from if not my cat?

I found a tick on my leg! Thankfully it did not bite, but I don't know where it came from!! Yes, I have a cat but I haven't interacted with her since this morning and I have taken a shower and changed my clothes since then... Where could it have come from? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 11 months old | 4.5 lbs

Yikes! Finding ticks is never a fun surprise. Ticks can live in wooded areas, fields, or backyard grass. It could have been climbed on your clothing from another location and taken some time to find its way to your skin to bite. Consider speaking with your physician about tick borne diseases present in your area. As for Luna, closely examine her for signs of ticks and consider applying Frontline, as this is the only tick preventative available for cats.
