I've been giving my dog a tablespoon of cooked peas and carrots added to her meals. I'm seeing them in her stool undigested and whole. Does my dog have a digestive problem? I've read they should be able to digest cooked (not raw) vegetables. I also feed her some canned food by Fromm four star which has whole vegetables, beans and potatoes. I'm assuming she isn't digesting this that well either. Should I switch to their pate line? If I purée the vegetables will she be able to digest them? thanks!

It is important to monitor her body weight, condition and coat health and stool quality in order to assess how well balanced her nutritional state is. Many vegetable and grain particles can retain size and structure of the fiberous nature even though the dissolvable nutrients may have been absorbed. Dogs digest neat based products much easier
