My 3-month puppy has no shot history. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

I just got a puppy that I believe is about 3 months old and I have no idea if she has had any shots. Should I wait to get her shots for a couple of weeks to be on the safe side? Is it safe for her to potentially get double doses?

If possible, get Willow's history from the person, shop or shelter you acquired her from. If she has no history, it is likely she has not had any vaccines. Have her examined by your veterinarian to confirm good health and to discuss an appropriate vaccine protocol, deworming and heartworm/parasite prevention.
