Why is my dog lethargic and has diarrhea after his DA2PP shot?

after getting the DA2PP shot yesterday he is lethargic and had atleast one run of diarrhea. any suggestions. Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 21 lbs

Poor Kain! It's common for dogs to be a bit more lethargic than usual for a day or two after a vaccination - he might also act sore in the area where the shot was given. Sometimes loose stool can happen also. These are usually normal side effects that should resolve within 24-48 hours. If the problem continues longer than that, or if he has any vomiting, difficulty breathing, facial swelling, or if the diarrhea is bloody, I would recommend taking him back to your vet for a recheck visit since these can be signs of a more serious vaccine reaction.
