Why does my unspayed cat pee on dog beds? Hormones? Breed or spay?

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 5.7 lbs

My cat was box trained but pees and poops on all my dog beds. Cud this hav anything to do with hormones as she isnt fixed? I was going to breed her. If i breed her wud she stop or will i hav to get her fixed to stop her?

Hi! It sure sounds like a behavioral problem, as she is trying to put her scent over the dog's scents. Spaying her might help, but she may now be in the habit of urinating/defecating on these items. There is a technique called "litter box retraining", where you confine her to a small room, with just her litter box and no other soft surfaces to use as litter. Once she consistency uses the box, you slowly give her more and more freedom. Hope this helps! And, cats usually prefer, non scented, clumping litter, without a litter box roof.
