Can I use Head and Shoulders shampoo on my chihuahua if she has open ringworm spots? She rolled on her back to scratch the itch due to healing and ripped off the fur on this spots. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 9 years and 2 months old | 13 lbs

Although it would technically be safe for use on her skin, it can cause significant concerns if it gets into her eyes or is ingested at all. Avoid using any human shampoos on dogs and stick with those formulated specifically for use in dogs. If Tinky truly has ringworm, she should be assessed by a veterinarian so that appropriate anti fungal medications and shampoos can be given.
