Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 8 months and 19 days old | 9.5 lbs

My 8 mo old maine coon has confronted several challenges. He has been on anti-viral meds and now doxycycline for sinus'. He has recovered from his neutering, coughing, etc. Today I found a puddle of bright yellow, ordorless urine from him. He does not eat much and until today drinking water normally.

It does sound Fala has been through a lot in his short life already! If he urinated outside the litter box, that can be a sign of a medical problem such as a UTI or bladder stones. It is concerning that he isn't eating much, and today isn't drinking water normally. Both of those things can also signify an illness. I would have him seen by a vet tomorrow for a physical exam, blood tests, and a urinalysis. Using these tests, the vet can diagnose if there is a medical illness causing his symptoms so he can be treated. I hope this helps you and Fala feels better soon!
