My 12 year old lab is limping after going for a run, he can't put weight on his paw. I have inspected it and he isn't showing pain on the pads or nails. I am wonder ing if he could have a sprain? He broke this paw 11 years ago and have surgery to plate it but has never had any issues since.

Poor Mikey! It's certainly possible that he could have sprained or twisted something during his run - this can sometimes cause some mild lameness after exercise like this, just like in humans. If he is acting normal otherwise, you could try restricting his exercise for the next few days to see if the problem resolves - this means short leash walks to potty only, no running or jumping. If there is no improvement in the next 2-3 days, or if he is holding the leg up completely or seems excessively painful, I would recommend taking him to the vet for an exam - he may need x-rays or other testing to help determine what's wrong.
